Creative flexibility
Here’s a sampling of some of my work to show my range. Get in touch if you want details or if the area we’re discussing isn’t represented here. All of my work is powered by a deep curiosity. Lately, that's led me to UX writing (current project for Schibsted) and VR storytelling (current project workshopped by The Venice Biennale College Cinema).
UX at Schibsted
Challenge: User navigation for the company’s profile pages is transforming as part of a major update that includes the addition of English and other language language options for this family of digital brands.
My role and approach: UX writer with a wide focus, including dialogue with Schibsted’s head UX staff writer about system and microcopy issues that impact design and text across all languages. There is high trust factor and I’m invested in the goals just as an in-house team member would be.
Stage: In progress and under confidentiality agreement.
Internal communications at TechnipFMC
Challenge: This global company is in an industry in flux and has employees spread out across locations and countries, including offshore. These employees need to know what others are up to and to feel connected in good and bad times, both with each other and with management.
My role and approach: Editor, journalist, copywriter, project manager and more. My work supports the strategic vision for employee communications and I manage it as if I were a senior staff employee due to exceptionally high trust factor and reliability repeatedly proven over a decade. I investigate, research and write articles and other communications.
Stage: Ongoing. Example of recent work.

The project itself is an innovative solution to investigating if internationals in Norway see their backgrounds as a plus and if employers see them as unique strategic hires. Project management for Top 10 project for Leadership Foundation / Catalysts
Challenge: This social change project aimed to create a positive discussion by highlighting successful immigrant role models and needed reliable multi-talented people to ensure it was taken seriously and properly executed over many years.
My role and approach: Key team player during establishment period and later. I stepped in with structure, reliability and vision on a very small team with large goals. I wore many hats and worked to proactively cut off problems from arising and to create solutions. For interaction with stakeholders at all levels I made it easy to take contact, was a good listener and diplomatic.
